Walt Dianey

Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 in Kansas. He loved painting since he was a child.
He founded his own company with his third brother-Roy Disney in Hollywood on 1923.In 1927, he created a successful and popular cartoon named, "Osward, the Lucky Rabbit". He wanted to sold this film but his employees betrayed him. They were bribable. That made Disney very sad and decided to own a brand secretly. On the train backed to NY, he created the most successful cartoon character, Micky Mouse!

  1. When I was six years old I had a book about Walt Disney and the beginnings of Disneyland. I haven't seen that book in over 30 years, but I still remember the beautiful picture of the carousel in it. I looked for a similar book when I took my kids to Disneyland last year, but didn't find one.

  2. I did a report on Walter Disney when I was in the sixth grade. I remember that the name originally chosen for the mouse was Mortimer but was changed to Mickey to be more appealing.
