Biography Project by Rachel

Janet Hsieh

1. Janet Hsieh is a TV host for the Discovery Travel and Living channel , her program named Fun Taiwan.

2. She made me feel this world is very amazing, there are still lots of thing that I have never try.
I must have to use my time better and never be afraid of new challenge.

3. At first , I don't know Janet anymore. Just one day, I felt very bored, so I turn on the TV and saw her program by accident. From then on, I knew I'll love it. Janet has traveled more than 40 countries. As a tour host, she is always smiling , and try any new challenge or obstacle.


Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (甘地)

1. Gandhi was a pre-eminent leader of the ''Indian independence movement''.

2. He didn't used violence to got to his goal. I think his attitude of mind is very priceless. ( In order to get to their goal, somepeople go so far sa to kill other people and don't beware of the payback. )

3. Just when I opened my History textbook, I saw him.


Confucius (孔子)

1. Confucius was a famous Chinese thinker and social educationist.

2. His thoughts emphasized personal and governmental morality, correctness of relationships between people. The mosy important, he is a good teacher who uesd different ways to teach different students.

3. Not reason! I'm preparing for my Chinese exam now!!!

  1. I've never heard of Fun Taiwan, but there are several shows on the same channel that I like because of the interesting things you can learn from them.

    It is amazing what Gandhi was able to accomplish, and I think it actually reflects well on the British that his methods were effective.

    I have thought before that it would be useful to better understand Confucian thought. I think it may account partly for the large number of Asians at the highest levels of education in the United States.
